Welding Supervisor - Piping and StructuralEngineering & Pipe Welding (EPW) provides Structural, Mechanical, and Piping fabrication services (SMP) to many industries around Brisbane, and throughout Australia, including:Natural Gas, Petrochemical and miningWater and Waste WaterWe specialise in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel piping fabrication, and includes manufacturing associated structural steel fabrications and a broad range of project installations.Role DescriptionThe Welding Supervisor will oversee all welding operations and provide technical guidance to our team of fabricators and welders. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel, conducting quality control, and ensuring that all welding work is completed as per specification, on schedule and within budget with assistance from project management.Qualifications & Experience5+ Years of Piping and Structural steel assembly and welding supervisionAS1796 Certificate 10 Welding Supervisor is preferred, although applicants with other suitable qualifications are encouraged to apply.Experience with STT/FCAW, MMAW & GTAW is desirable.Familiar with current Australian and International Standards including: ASME IX and B31.3, AS3992 and AS4041, AS1554, AS4458, AS4037, AS2885SkillsStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Ability to promote a positive and respectful work environment.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesCreate Weld maps and fabrication scheduleWPS management and selectionWeld traceability managementWelding consumable and material traceability managementWelding Supervision RecordingWelding inspection and dimensional checkingDrawing revision managementCreate and submit NDT requestsReview NDT reports for complianceAssisting with MDR compilation (Complete in whole if competent)Assist with estimating and schedulingAssist with HR managementBenefits & RemunerationWork in a team where your voice will be heard…we want to hear your recommendations on processes and new technology.Secure employment near home in the Brisbane Metro area.Friendly work hours.Attractive pay rate.
