About the role: Join our dynamic Field Services team's expansion
We're on the hunt for two skilled Field Service Technicians.
This Newcastle-based opportunity is your ticket to a rewarding career, helping us shape the future of our thriving service business.
As a Field Service Technician joining our NSW team, you will be delivering projects that support the energy transition including hydro, wind, solar, and battery storage as well as other traditional energy sectors.
You will be travelling to local and remote sites to perform inspections, maintenance, installations, repairs, and refurbishments on a wide range and size of transformers and associated equipment.
You will frequently engage with customer stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and interact internally with sales, engineering, procurement, and operations across the various WTC business units.
Your primary objective is to deliver projects on time and within scope with a key focus on safety, quality, time, and cost.
We are looking for a proactive leader with strong communication skills and a strong electrical background to enhance our existing field team.
Key Responsibilities: Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair services on WTC equipment at client locations.Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and issues, providing effective solutions to restore full functionality.Perform regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.Offer technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and best practices.Keep and maintain accurate records of completed work, including maintenance logs, service reports, and any required documentation.Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve technical challenges to enhance service delivery.Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines, company policies, and industry regulations.Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours.Familiarisation with QHSE systems and practical implementation trades background.To be Successful, you will have the following: Trade background or postgraduate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Experience in transformer installation, repair, and maintenance.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly in electrical and mechanical systems.Proficient in interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Valid NSW driver's license and ability to pass background checks.Why Join Wilson Transformer Company?
