As part of this increased customer-focused vision, NEP Australia is recruiting for a Sydney-based Systems Support Specialist.
The Role & ResponsibilitiesWe are currently seeking the services of a full-time Broadcast Network Engineer for our Andrews Hub facility located in Eveleigh, NSW.
The job is located within a 10-minute walk of Redfern station.
Daily, you will be working with a small team, with the resources of a large international broadcast company.
You will be responsible for maintaining the network, ensuring 100% uptime for all events.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:Ensure network eco-system is acceptably stable and responsive to Hub and field engineering staff.Maintain network security protocols and SOP.Maintain proper documentation of all network systems.Provide technical support for NEP broadcast network systems throughout the mobile fleet.Skills RequiredTechnical or Associate's degree in the information technology field desired; however, a combination of education and experience will be considered.Prior experience in the broadcast television industry is a plus.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Demonstrates the ability to multi-task several priorities and possesses solid time management skills.Collaborate with managers, engineers, and clients on projects and ideas to ensure the consistency and high availability of the network infrastructure.Must be willing and able to travel, as necessary.Technical support background.Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience.Working knowledge and experience leveraging multiple network protocols including BGP, EVPN-VXLAN.Hands-on experience with IPSec VPN setup and management.Understanding of Cloud technologies.Knowledge of multicast will be a huge plus.Knowledge of Python and Ansible.Knowledge and basic experience in Linux distributions.Benefits of working at NEPSalary continuance insurance.NEP Days – additional 5 days of leave per year (conditions apply).NEP Travel benefits & discounts including Qantas Club Membership.Discounts through NEP Rewards.Employee Assistance Programme.This is a full-time role and is a unique opportunity for the right person.
