Reference: VG/MC0164WD
Closes: 17/01/2025
Classification: VPSG4
Salary Range: $95,102 - $107,905
This role has responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the ARC and CISP programs at the Frankston Magistrates' Courts.
It provides leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team of case managers who provide support to people on bail with multiple and complex needs.
About Us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority.
MCV determines over 300,000 cases per annum at 51 (metropolitan and regional) venues and across a range of jurisdictions (including criminal, civil, family law, family violence and specialist courts and programs).
MCV's vision is to deliver the highest standard of justice to the community we serve.
We have a long history of providing justice for Victorians and an ongoing commitment to building the community's confidence in a fair and responsive justice system.
Specialist Courts and Programs (SCP) are the MCV Directorate responsible for driving the implementation and development of solution-focused and therapeutic approaches to justice.
Our specialist responses address the underlying causes of offending behaviour and stop the "revolving door" of returning to court for individuals.
About the Role
Responsible for co-ordinating the day-to-day delivery of the ARC and CISP programs, in consultation with the Manager Court Support Services (Frankston/Moorabbin), and in line with relevant organisational policies, procedures and standards.
Provide mentoring and supervision to staff in relation to their case management of clients, including in relation to clinical risk and its mitigation.
Allocate resources in a flexible and efficient manner to effectively manage client loads and to ensure timely and responsive service delivery.
Actively and meaningfully engage in supervision and respond to clinical feedback provided.
Manage a client caseload in line with program and organisational requirements.
Identify and implement practice improvements that will enhance the quality of the CSS program suite, in consultation with ARC and CISP Practice Leads.
Ensure programs are delivered in a way that is family/person-centred, and responsive to and inclusive of the diverse needs and backgrounds of all clients.
Work with individuals and teams to identify and address continuous improvement and professional development needs.
Participate in the recruitment and induction of program staff.
Establish effective working relationships with the judiciary, legal profession and court staff in relation to clients within the court process, providing advice regarding program eligibility, and relevant referral and treatment options.
Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with community stakeholders.
Provide supervision to the Administration Officer and coordinate the management of the Court Support Services off-site location.
Other duties as directed.
About You
Extensive experience in the assessment and case management of clients with multiple and complex needs.
Experience in the leadership and management of health and/or social welfare staff.
Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
Sound knowledge of evidenced-informed practice models and frameworks for working with multiple and complex needs, including those with a mental illness, intellectual disability and/or acquired brain injury, as well as triage and waitlist management.
