This is your opportunity to influence state-wide planning outcomes and drive excellence in statutory planning services within the Planning and Land Services Group. With a focus on delivering quality statutory planning, you will oversee the assessment and approval of planning scheme amendments, administer key programs like the Growth Areas Infrastructure Contribution Program, and support stakeholders in achieving timely, high-quality planning outcomes.As a member of the State Planning leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Victoria's future planning systems, policies, and projects. You will lead by fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture, inspiring your team to embrace innovation and deliver exceptional results. This role requires forging strong partnerships across government, industry, and communities to achieve a liveable, inclusive, and sustainable Victoria.This position offers a unique opportunity to lead with purpose and contribute to transformational planning outcomes for Victoria. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, you will contribute to advancing statutory planning systems and delivering key departmental goals.Your leadership will inspire a culture of positive change, fostering a high-performing, capable, and engaged workforce. With a focus on strengthening capability and building a strategic mindset, you will guide your team to achieve exceptional results while aligning with the department's core values.Qualifications and role specific requirementsDemonstrated record of achievement in driving responsive and high-quality planning processes and outcomes, and experience in planning scheme amendments.Demonstrated record of achievement in driving responsive and high-quality customer and stakeholder services and building effective and cohesive planning teams.Demonstrated experience in a relevant capacity in the public sector (including local government) leading large teams in complex environments.Demonstrated experience leading support and advice to diverse stakeholders.A relevant tertiary qualification in urban planning or related field.How to ApplyNon-department employees (including wider VPS) will need to create an account (not your JSE account).
