Senior Finance Manager - Technical Accounting Our client, a leading Financial Services business, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead their Technical Accounting and Advice function.

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager - Technical Accounting to join our financial services team.
This is a critical role that will be responsible for managing technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and providing strategic insights to the finance leadership team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical accounting background within financial services, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead and influence in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities Technical Accounting & Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant IFRS and AASB standards, advising on complex technical accounting issues and the implications of new or revised standards on the company's financial statements.
Financial Reporting: Oversee and manage the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for technical accounting matters, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to provide expert guidance and support.
Policy & Process Improvement: Develop and implement robust accounting policies and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Advisory & Strategic Input: Provide technical accounting advice and insights to senior management to support decision-making, including in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, new business initiatives, and financial structuring.
Qualifications and Experience Professional Accreditation: CPA or CA qualification is essential.
Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of IFRS and AASB standards, with proven experience in technical accounting roles within the financial services sector.
Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior technical accounting role.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively.
Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
