By raising your hand, fostering relationships, and seizing the moment, you can take control of your own unique path.About the opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Primary Connect – Investments & Benefits team.
In this newly created role, you'll work closely with business leaders, supporting the financial development of investment initiatives while co-piloting key projects to highlight investment benefits and ensure approval and governance frameworks are adhered to.
You will provide financial leadership for the launch of the Moorebank DC Program, the group's largest single investment to date.
Additionally, you will lead a small team fostering a collaborative high performing culture.What you'll do Partner effectively with the Primary Connect Senior Leadership Team to achieve financial and strategic objectives.Drive strong relationships within Primary Connect and across Woolworths Group ensuring ownership and contribution.Promote a Benefits Realisation culture by tracking performance against promised benefits and driving accountability.Manage multiple in-flight projects, ensuring structured oversight, clear milestones, effective cadence and promote risk management and financial transparency throughout project lifecycles.Develop and oversee robust financial models to support business cases and investment decisions.Monitor and report on project progress throughout their lifecycle, proactively identifying gaps and improving performance reporting.Prepare and present financial models, business cases, and commercial proposals for senior leaders.What you'll bring CPA, CA, or CFA with ideally 8+ years post-qualification experience.Strong financial analysis, valuation, and modelling capabilities.Excellent presentation, storyboarding, and communication skills.Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly, drive process efficiencies, and coach and mentor team members.Agile and flexible mindset, able to navigate and consider business impacts in decision-making.Excellent stakeholder engagement with ability to build trust and maintain relationships across diverse perspectives.What you'll experience Strong mentorship and development; opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest and best minds in Australia.A progressive and flexible 'work from anywhere' policy that gives you more control over your work, life and wellbeing.Get your Woolies worth through team member benefits across all of our brands.Access to Sonder, which provides free confidential 24/7 personalised financial, medical safety, psychological or physical support for team members and their families.Endless possibilities with Woolworths Group We're a proud part of the Woolworths Group – 200,000+ bright minds, passionate hearts and unique perspectives working together connected by a shared Purpose – 'to create better experiences together for a better tomorrow.'Here you'll be supported and empowered to explore new ideas, make brave commitments and innovate better ways to meet the food and everyday needs of more than 24 million customers every week.
