The Opportunity:
Hall Contracting is looking to welcome a Diesel Fitter to their Sunshine Coast marine workshop
This role would see you working on a range of both marine and civil equipment and is a stable and permanent opportunity (Monday to Friday), perfect for a local or someone wanting to relocate to the Sunshine Coast.
This opportunity will primarily be based in the Sunshine Coast workshop, with some exposure to FIFO projects across Australia and in the Pacific Islands, offering you diversity and an exciting chance to see the country and the world
The Benefits: Local based role in the workshop on the beautiful Sunshine CoastSome FIFO work, with provided flights, accommodation and transfers from your doorstep with living away from home allowanceFull-time permanent position from day 1, offering you stability and security with a business that has been in operation for 78 yearsVariety of work with exposure to a broad range of marine and civil equipmentOpportunities to expand your qualifications, knowledge and skills through trainingOpportunities to advance your careerWages paid weeklySuper paid on all hours Key Responsibilities: Identifying reliability issues & improvements to machines and systems.Actively participate in preventative maintenance programs and record keeping through our digital system.Responding to and addressing equipment breakdowns in an appropriate time frame with access to digital manuals and maintenance planners.Preventative maintenance and repairs to a wide range of machinery.Adhering to all OHS Policies & Procedures at all times with digital access to form and procedures to ensuring safety is not compromised. About You: Heavy Diesel or Mechanical Fitter Trade CertificatePost trade experience on civil construction equipment (excavators, moxy, dozers, graders etc.
)Experience with Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi or Caterpillar machines is beneficialExperience with marine equipment (vessels, workboats, barges, dredges) is highly regarded, but not essentialHydraulic/electrical systems, and pump experience would be beneficialExperience in component rebuilds of engines, transmissions, hydraulic components would be beneficialSelf-driven, reliable, high interest in the mechanical trades
