Our client, a prominent international Renewable Energy Developer and EPC, specializes in a wide range of solar power applications, from standalone solar farms to complex hybrid projects incorporating storage solutions. With extensive experience in electrical infrastructure, they excel in integrating solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) into the grid.
Role OverviewReporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Principal/Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:
Planning and designing projectsManaging and controlling assigned projectsEnsuring timely completion and compliance with customer requirementsMaximizing efficiency in resource utilization and project profitabilityCollaborating within a cross-disciplinary engineering teamCommunicating effectively with all stakeholdersOverseeing all technical work in accordance with OHS&E, contract, and QA requirementsKey ResponsibilitiesBESS and Solar PV Plant Design Prepare single line diagrams, protection SLDs, site layouts, and substation elevations (275kV, 132kV, 66kV)Conduct earthing studies using CDGES softwarePerform insulation coordination studies using EMTP softwarePrepare lightning protection studies and reportsConduct short circuit studies and force calculationsPerform protection studies using ETAP/DigSilentSize MV cables using CYMCAP softwarePrepare DC cable sizing reportsConduct arc flash studiesDemonstrate basic knowledge of grid connection studiesPerform fault level calculations and load flow studies using ETAP softwareDesign battery storage layouts, SLDs, and related calculationsProject Management Monitor design resource allocation and effectivenessSupport procurement, construction, and commissioning teamsCoordinate with external design consultantsLiaise with authorities on design and construction permitsEnsure timely design outputs and project requirement satisfactionControl design costs within budgetQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics EngineeringQualifications acceptable for Member grade of Engineers AustraliaChartered Engineer status with RPEQ (essential)Customer-focused and team-orientedAccountable and results-drivenEnergetic with a positive, can-do attitudeAdaptable and quick to learn new skills and technologiesHow to Apply To apply for this exciting opportunity, please submit your application directly to ******.
