Engineering - Software (Information & Communication Technology) Full time Tell me about this role:Jacobs is seeking an NV1 cleared Systems Designer to lead, plan, and manage the delivery of a Defence cyber software suite.This role offers uncapped training and development opportunities as well as other benefits including free parking, flexible working and different leave arrangements including paid parental, study, reserve and volunteer leave.
What will I be doing day to day? Apply System Engineering skills to design and develop a defensive cyber operations environmentDesign and develop Defence Cyber warfare systems through the Defence Capability Life CycleDefine infrastructure architecture and dependencies with existing and new systemsProduce various technical and non-technical documentations such as SOP, HLD, DLD, SAD, and SODEngage with key stakeholders and shape the direction of the system's integration with ADF platforms and systemsCommunication of complex technical and operational subjects into readily understandable conceptsWhat sort of skills do I need? Bachelor's degree or equivalent in ICT, Computer Science or EngineeringBackground as a system designer on medium to large size projectsStrong Defence background and Systems Engineering backgroundDemonstrated experience with Linux administration (CentOS and Debian), Windows administration (Server 2016/2019 and Win 10)Experience in routing, firewall, and network troubleshootingExperience in VMWare technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, and HorizonDemonstrated experience with configuration management technologies such as AnsibleAustralian citizenship and an NV1 clearance at a minimumWhat's in it for me?
