About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Behavioural Support Therapist passionate about providing transformative care for individuals with disabilities. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based behavioral support and therapy tailored to the needs of children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Position Overview
This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility with clinic, community, home-based, and telehealth services. Full-time and part-time positions are available with a competitive remuneration package, ranging from $105,000 to $130,000 + super, along with professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and wellness benefits.
Key Responsibilities
The Behavioural Support Therapist will:
Assess clients' behavioral needs and develop personalized support plans based on evidence-based practices.Provide direct therapy to clients in diverse settings, including clinic, home, and telehealth.Educate and empower families, carers, and support staff on effective behavioral strategies.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and holistic care.Supervise and mentor junior staff to build capacity and ensure high standards of care.Maintain accurate and timely client records in compliance with industry standards.Contribute to the development and review of programs and services, ensuring they align with client needs and NDIS requirements.About You
This role is ideal for a professional with the following qualifications and attributes:
Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, or a related field.Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those with intellectual disabilities or ASD.Certification in Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is highly desirable.Skills and Attributes: Strong knowledge of behavior support principles and practices.Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and stakeholders.Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage a varied caseload.Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.Adaptability to tailor support approaches to meet the unique needs of clients.Mandatory Requirements: NDIS Worker Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).Working with Children Check.Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.How to Apply
