Join us, and you could be one of them.About the Role:The Area Sales Manager (ASM) role is a great opportunity for candidates who would like to further advance their careers in Field Sales and management.The ASM will be responsible for their assigned team of Territory Managers and merchandisers to deliver all in-store activities and the delivery of all Field KPIs and Targets. They will be responsible for building and developing a high-performance sales team through ongoing focus on coaching and mentoring each team member according to their Individual Development Plan. Additionally, they will have their own defined territory of stores where they will leverage their relationships with customer managers to gain and maintain offsite locations to build award-winning POS and spectaculars and maximize sales opportunities.The Area Sales Manager will also work collaboratively with the State Operations Manager to ensure compliance across all channels within their assigned area and will seek out additional sales opportunities through the relationships and rapport that have been built with their key customer contacts.Main Responsibilities:Sales and Business DevelopmentBuilds and maintains relationships with Key Customers (store and Area/Regional Managers) to maximize sales opportunities each session.Meets Key customer contacts to upsell major activities and negotiate additional display activity.In-Store ExecutionEnsures Quality, Freshness, and Standards of in-store execution are met according to the Field Action Standards set under the My Perfect Store Guidelines.Develops a plan to achieve all display and Execution Quality targets as outlined in the Activity Execution Guide.Ensures the Availability of all POS Material for activations in-store, including the ordering of all POS to Local Sheds in a timely manner.People ManagementCoordinates, coaches, and mentors all Direct Reports, comprising Territory Managers and merchandisers.Participates in the recruitment of Territory Managers, Regional Merchandisers, and seasonal helpers as required.Ensures the Performance of all Territory Managers is in accordance with Ferrero Standards and core values and fulfills the requirements of their roles.Implements approved Performance Management Plans as required.Supports the development and ongoing review of Individual Development Plans for all team members.Complies with the year-end Performance Evaluation process for all Full-Time team members.Who we are looking for:3-5 years' experience with territory or sales management within FMCG.Experience working in the grocery channel is essential.Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships.Strong time management and organizational skills.Resilient, driven, and determined to succeed.Experience in Managing and Developing People is highly regarded.Tertiary qualification preferable within a business-related field.Diversity StatementFerrero is committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture in which all employees feel welcomed and appreciated and have the same opportunities.
