We have an exciting role for an In-house Repair Technician on a 14 months contract role based at our Service & Repair (S&R) depot in Huntingwood.
You will provide technical support in areas such as operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or post-market development with the help of service manuals, work instructions, and defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
ResponsibilitiesPerforms in-house servicing on a wide variety of medical devices at the S&R Workshop as per AS/NZ 3551:2012.Performs maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired medical devices.Performs loan return testing and assists with service loan supply management.Diagnoses electrical, mechanical, software, and systems failures using established procedures.Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues.Communicates with field-based technicians for details helpful to failure diagnostics or repair, which may include direct client communication (further queries, quotes, etc.
).Performs new product testing as part of the Australian Pre-delivery inspection process.ExperienceMinimum bachelor's degree in engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar).Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in MedTech or a similar service-related industry.Proven knowledge and experience of systems, techniques, and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.Demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of AS/NZ 3551:2012 and ISO 13485:2016.Quality and Patient-focused – To be able to put patient safety first by having a quality mindset.Enthusiastic and willingness to learn.Positive and proactive attitude.Reliable team player who holds high accountability for own work.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
