Research Administration Officer

Full Time 12-month opportunity for a dynamic and organised Research Administration Assistant Exciting Opportunity to assist with Research for the clinical trials Base Salary $86,511 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity We are looking for someone who can be both a front-runner and back-end processor, balancing the exceptional communication skills needed with patients and participants with the administrative and research activities needed for this role.
The Research Administration Officer addresses routine matters linked to the provision of administrative and operational support for the research work being undertaken by the work area.
the incumbent will be expected to exercise some initiative and judgement in the preparation and submission of grant/ethics applications and research publications, ensuring requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
Your key responsibilities will be to: actively contribute to various clinical trial activities, assisting in the coordination and operation of trials lead data capture and entry for clinical trials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other relevant regulations develop and maintain robust relationships with clinical trial stakeholders, participating in research meetings and facilitating communication among various entities undertake appropriate research procedures in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements, ICH-GCP Guidelines, Ethics standards, WSLHD policies etc facilitate ongoing communication with a broad range of stakeholders, proactively addressing any concerns, and collaborating with team members to continuously improve stakeholder relations About you ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters good organisation, problem solving and time management skills Working understanding of relevant aspects of the Work Health and Safety Policy and relevant legislation, as applicable to the work environment understanding of research protocols, as well as the capability to complete ethics submissions and grant applications.
Sponsorship / work rights for Australia Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
