With a strong pipeline of work in Western Australia & New Zealand, we currently have an exciting opportunity in Perth for a Principal Environmental Consultant to join our Contaminated Land Assessment and Remediation Section.
Responsibilities Overseeing the effective planning and execution of complex projects, providing technical guidance and performing the role of Project Director and client-facing roles where appropriate.Having an in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework and technical elements of the contaminated land sector within your State or Territory.Providing guidance and direction on complex pursuits, and in some instances leading such pursuits.Providing informal leadership to the broader Contaminated Land Assessment and Remediation Section and collaborating with other Sections to help deliver successful project outcomes.Delivering PFAS investigations, remediation, management, stakeholder engagement, and community support in accordance with Branch objectives.Overseeing management of the regional budget and tracking spending.Managing performance, workload, timelines, and deliverables of the regional team.Stakeholder management including State/Territory environmental regulators, water authorities, community members, and Defence base contacts.Ensuring compliance with WHS obligations.Here's what you'll need A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology.Relevant experience in consulting, particularly in contaminated land assessment.Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.Experience in training and mentoring junior staff.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with videoconferencing practices.Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.Current Defence Baseline Clearance (or the ability to obtain it).About Jacobs At Jacobs, we support your personal life and career journeys.
