Teaching - Secondary (Education & Training) Full time Salary: $84k - $121k + Tier 2.2 ML Allowance + Super
Position Overview: We are seeking a suitably qualified Middle Leader - Head of Humanities with experience to work with our dedicated Academic Staff as we extend our students to achieve their potential.
This is a full-time, continuing position.
You will confidently work with Academic Staff, classroom-based School Officers, and the College Leadership Team to secure the well-being, engagement, learning growth, and achievement of each student.
You will facilitate programs, processes, and practices focused on developing MacKillop Women as curious, creative, self-directed, and resilient learners to ensure MMC students are people of purpose, achieving their potential.
About the Role: As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:
Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative, and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies, and practices.Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy.Assess, provide feedback, and report on student learning.Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school.Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.About You: To be successful in this role, you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Middle Leader Humanities as well as:
Strong literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum.Commitment to child safety.Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.Proven organisational skills.Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes.Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration.Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.About Our School: Mary MacKillop College is a vibrant Catholic girl's school for students from Years 7 to 12.
