The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design and construct Snowy 2.0.
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.Purpose of the Role:The purpose of the electrical supervisor is to provide technical leadership with regards to the electrical design of the project.
This requires managing the design production of the specialist sub-consultants to provide value engineered design solutions.
The electrical shop supervisor will plan, organise, lead and control site operations for compliance with the construction programme ensuring consistency in terms of, and in order to, ensure safety, cost, time, quality, environmental, community targets are achieved.Qualifications: Electrical Trade Qualification or trade qualification in a similar disciplineWhite CardC Class Driver's LicenseFormal training in workplace training and assessment - desirableExperience:Minimum 5 Years' experience in the supervision of Building/ Civil projects on mine and Petrochemical sites in Australia; experience working in chemical processing environment would be 'highly regarded'.Experience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording.Experience in Safety, Community and Environmental ManagementExperience in Quality ManagementExperience in Planning & ResourcingRequired Competencies:Demonstrate a positive "can-do" attitude.Ability to lead and manage teamsDemonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skillsPractical knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages.Good communication skills, both oral and writtenSelf-motivated.Mechanical or Electrical Trade backgroundAbility to implement and follow through on multiple issues and to achieve productive resultsSound interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaborativelyAbility to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressureGood organisational skills with exceptional attention to detailThe ability to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environmentThe ability to work well under pressureStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComputer skills, competent using maintenance systemsAbility to drive performance and lead a team.Sound negotiation skillsCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities:To ensure the successful delivery of the electrical design for the Snowy 2.0 project within the required constraints for time, cost, quality, safety, environment and the communityTo provide technical planning, support and reporting for the electrical engineering aspects of the project works executionSupport the Design Manager in the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.Provide technical leadership with regards to the electrical design of the project.Manage the design review process for the electrical design packages to ensure timely reviews and approvals by the client, independent verifier and third partiesProvide expert technical advice in the field of electrical engineeringManage the assessment of design solutions against technical criteria for the electrical designSupport the Design team to deliver design outcomes in a timely and efficient wayAssist with the submissions and reportsSupport the Project's requirements in delivering a project against safety, quality, regulatory, legislative, environmental, safety and cost requirementsCoach and mentor junior staff if requiredSupport the Design Manager in managing and delivering design solutions against multiple and complex stakeholder, contract and regulatory requirementsManage client relationships to maintain a positive industry profile and develop ongoing businessManage effective relationships with multiple business and government clients and partnersReview electrical design documents against project deed requirements and to ensure value engineering solutions are considered and incorporated into design.Provide technical leadership in the field of electrical engineering.Manage the subconsultant responsible for the electrical designManage the design review process for the electrical design packagesThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.As an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
