THE ROLE
Applications are sought from experienced Underground Senior Mining Engineers to join the team at Ora Banda at our flagship Riverina UG Mine.
The responsibilities of this role will include: Develop optimum underground development & stope designs, mining methods, equipment requirements and recovery costsDeliver short, medium and long term mine plans, ensuring consistency to maintain continuity of the mine planning processPrepare underground mine development and production schedulesOversee the preparation and optimisation of drill and blast plansPlan and oversee the dewatering system in the mineMonitor day to day mining operations to ensure compliance with agreed plans and quality control standardsProvide technical input into underground mining processManage mining activities to ensure production meets short and long term planning targetsEnsure production processes comply with site quality control standardsExamine mining methods and equipment to improve performanceProvide engineering services to the mine manager as requiredProvide leadership to mining engineers and other technical staff in their day-to-day activitiesUndertake project work and mine engineering activities as requiredCoordinate mining engineering activities with production teams, surveyors, geologists, drill and blast and contractor teamsABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a related discipline7+ years' experience in mining operationsExcellent leadership and communication skillsUnderstanding of relevant legislation and regulationsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSkilled in mine planning and scheduling softwareCurrent Senior First AidFirst Class Mine Managers CertificateYour motivation:
