Hello, I am a young 66 year old friendly and kind woman who lives in Sunnybank Hills.
My interests include animals and travelling.
I am looking for 2 new mature-minded support workers to assist me with my daily living and community and social participation including appointments, shopping, and leisure pursuits.
You will need to be friendly, respectful, outgoing, sociable, and have a good sense of humour.
The successful applicant will also be community minded, physically active, and like meeting new people.
You must have excellent communication skills, be a skilled negotiator, and be a good role model.
We are looking for a person that understands social roles, the importance of networks and connection, and is an advocate for inclusion.
Key Duties: Assist with Daily Living including personal careDomestic assistance including cooking, cleaning, and household dutiesAssistance with managing animals, feeding, cleaning cages (dog and birds/parrots)Walking and bathing dogSocial and community engagementShifts: Tuesday Evenings - 5:30pm - 9pmThursday Evenings - 5:30pm - 9pmSaturday Mornings - 8am - 11amSaturday Evenings - 5:30pm - 9pmSunday Mornings - 8am - 11amSunday Evenings - 5:30pm - 9pmFlexibility to pickup extra shifts when team members are on leaveRequirements: Physically able to meet the requirements of the roleBoth male and female applicants are welcomeArticulate with good sense of humourAbility to take direction from a person with a physical disabilityAbility to work as part of a team and autonomouslyFlexibility to cover and change shiftsLive locallyMust like animals and be happy to perform above listed dutiesYou will also need to be punctual, reliable, and well presentedCurrent Open Queensland Drivers LicenseCurrent First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)Current Yellow Card/ Yellow card Exemption (or willing to obtain a Disability Workers Screening Clearance)Certificate & Experience in Aged Care highly desirableTo apply: Please attach your CV and cover letter outlining your interest/hobbies, experience, your availability, and what you would bring to the role.
