In this role, you will report to the Geology Manager and work on an 8:6 roster.
Your focus will be on driving the continued exploration and management leases, ensuring work activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentoring the Exploration team, including fostering a collaborative, high-standard work environment.Generating and updating 3D geological models to identify and prioritise prospective drilling targets.Planning, designing, and managing underground delineation, extensional, and near-mine drilling programmes.Supervising all surface-based drilling activities, conducting drill core logging, and performing sample analysis.Managing project budgets, analysing cost performance, and reporting results to ensure financial accountability.Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Exploration team to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.About You Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in exploration geology, including previous supervisory and team management experience.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in geology or a related discipline, as well as relevant professional industry membership.Expertise in near-mine / brownfields exploration.Well-versed in planning, implementing, and supervising drilling programs, including deep directional drilling (wedging, navi cuts etc.
).Experience in using mining software, such as Micromine, Leapfrog, MapInfo, Vulcan, or Geobank.Current C Class Driver's Licence (manual).About 29Metals and Golden Grove 29Metals is an ASX-listed mining company that produces copper, along with other base and precious metals critical to the global energy transition.
