Queensland Health | Finance Officer, Srata | Brisbane

Reporting to the Manager, Statutory Reporting and Technical Advisory, your role will be responsible for assisting and contributing to the preparation of month end tasks to facilitate efficient and effective monthly reporting, preparation of general ledger reconciliations, collection, consolidation and review of multiple divisional registers, activities undertaken with the Queensland Audit Office (QAO) during the external audit of the Statutory Financial Statements and appropriate and timely action on other requests as directed.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
Demonstrated conceptual analytical, research and problem-solving skills and an ability to implement appropriate solutions.
Demonstrated financial accounting experience and exposure to financial systems such as SAP.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work commitments to achieve quality, accurate outcomes within defined timeframes.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including liaison and consultation skills with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters.
Ability to work as part of a team and with a commitment to and understanding of quality client service and organisational effectiveness in a people management context.

The Finance Branch is comprised of five units including Financial Budget Assessment and Performance, Financial Policy Controls and Advisory, Financial Accounting and System Operations, Financial Solutions and Financial Business Partnering.
