The partners use Xero APIs and build applications that users can connect using the Xero App Store and pay for the apps using Ecosystem Billing. The development portal provides partners with API documentation and allows them to manage their applications and billing.We are looking for a Team Lead - Engineering to join our team. As a Team Lead, you will lead a pod of talented engineers. Working together with the Product Manager and Lead Engineers, you will set the direction of the pods, forming and executing on a delivery plan. You will promote successful outcomes for the pods, through supporting your direct reports in becoming awesome Xeros, fostering a culture of teamwork, as well as promoting excellent engineering and delivery practices.What you'll do:Ensure your team has all of the right tools and support they need to be successful.Meet regularly with each member of your team and encourage them to become the highest performing version of themselves they can be, using a variety of techniques which may include performance feedback, career development, coaching and mentoring.Be influential in delivery, fostering a culture of quality and trust.Ensure software is built to a high standard.Help resolve roadblocks that the team faces.Look to continually improve and iterate on the agile process and practices within the team.You'll have the opportunity to work on the below stack:A microservice, written in C# on .NET.AWS services.Running in a Docker container, orchestrated by Kubernetes.Accessed by SPA written in React with TypeScript.Deployed with an automated CI/CD pipeline.Monitored by industry leading monitoring, alerting, tracing, and logging tools.Why Xero?Offering very generous paid leave to use however you'd like (plus statutory holidays), dedicated paid leave to care for your physical and mental wellbeing as well as an Employee Assistance Program to access mental health care for you and your family, health insurance, life insurance, and income protection, wellbeing and sports programmes, employee resource groups, 26 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers, an Employee Share Plan, beautiful offices, flexible working, career development, and many other benefits that reflect our human value, you'll do the best work of your life at Xero.
