The Mackay Private Hospital provides first-class rehabilitation and mental health care in the heart of Mackay.
Our 34-bed private hospital is known nationally for its high-quality and specialised rehabilitation programs, comprehensive facilities including a large hydrotherapy pool and quality care with a personal touch and remarkable patient outcomes.
About the RoleThe Hotel Services Manager leads and supports the Hotel Services team and Maintenance Officer, while liaising with external maintenance contractors.
They collaborate closely with the CEO and Mackay Private Hospital's Executive Management Committee to ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, NSQHS standards, policies and procedures.
Ultimately, the Manager's role is to deliver high-quality patient care through the provision of nutritious meals and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the Hotel Services team and Maintenance Officer.Ensure compliance with legislation, NSQHS standards, and policies.Deliver high-quality patient care through meal provision and environmental maintenance.Minimum Requirements: Sound organisational and prioritisation skills.Understanding of key Australian Standards, QLD Work Health & Safety Act, including Infection Control Principles and Practice.Demonstrated experience with Food Safety Program requirements.Proven ability to plan, identify, manage and address maintenance, projects, contracts and work schedules.Proficiency with computers for rostering and particularly with the Microsoft Office suite.Current Drivers Licence.National Police Check within the last 3 months or willingness to obtain one.Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or ability to obtain.This pivotal role is perfect for you if you thrive in a hands-on environment that is critical to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
You will manage the catering, cleaning, maintenance, and environmental services teams at our small boutique hospital, taking a proactive, collaborative, and problem-solving approach.
