Manager Company Secretariat

Initial 6-month full-time contract Flexible locations of Sydney or Brisbane Working directly with the Executive Leadership Team and the Board We are currently looking to appoint a Manager, Company Secretariat on an initial 6-month contract.
This role is responsible for providing high quality, timely and effective secretariat and corporate governance support to various entities and Boards of the Suncorp Group.
You will also manage the end-to-end meeting process for the Group's material operating companies.
What you'll do Liaise with senior management and business representatives as necessary in the preparation/ drafting of submissions to Boards and Committees Contribute/ prepare Corporate Governance Statement, Annual Report, Half-Year and Full-Year disclosure Accountability for ASX Listing Rule compliance, including all regulatory ASX disclosures Provide advice on corporate governance matters and meet information requests from ELT and other management/teams Providing leadership, including coaching and support, within the Company Secretariat team Create a culture where team members anticipate the needs of the Directors and Executives and can drive solutions.
What you'll bring Previously have worked in a Company Secretary role for a listed company (Preferred) Experience in an ASX listed company within financial services, preferable banking or insurance A tertiary qualification in Law/Accounting or Business Administration (mandatory) and a Professional Qualification i.e.
Institute of Chartered Secretaries (Desired) Knowledge of the Corporations Act and the Australian Securities Exchange Listing Rules including disclosure obligations, and Australian Securities Exchange Corporate Governance Principles.
