Product Management & Development (Information & Communication Technology) Full time About Us: We are running a large-scale financial crime transformation program aimed at redefining how we detect and prevent financial crime to protect our customers and the communities we serve.
This multi-year initiative is designed to develop and integrate cutting-edge technology, analytics, and processes to strengthen our compliance and risk mitigation frameworks and deliver a superior customer experience.
As part of this exciting transformation, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Manager for our Financial Crime Detection sub-domain.
The Opportunity: In this role, you will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of financial crime detection products within the transformation program.
Your primary focus will be on enhancing detection capabilities for anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF) and other financial crime risks.
Reporting to the Head of Detection Transformation, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure our products meet regulatory standards while driving innovation.
In this Product Manager role, you will: Product Strategy and Vision: Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for financial crime detection capabilities within the transformation program and serve as the voice of the customer.Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Line 1 business units, Line 2 risk and compliance teams, data, and engineering teams to identify needs and prioritize features.Regulatory Alignment: Ensure products comply with Australian regulatory requirements, including AUSTRAC and APRA guidelines.Delivery Oversight: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with transformation goals.Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and emerging technologies to enhance detection models and system efficiency.Performance Metrics: Define and monitor KPIs to measure product effectiveness, ensuring alignment with risk management and customer obsession objectives.Change Management: Partner with change management teams to drive adoption and training for new tools and systems across the bank.What you will bring: Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably within financial crime, risk management, or compliance domains.In-depth knowledge of AML/CTE detection frameworks and regulatory requirements in Australia.Experience delivering complex technology products or platforms within a large organization, ideally within the financial services sector.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of data and data driven decisions.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and capable of influencing at a senior level.Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics is highly desirable.A passion for driving innovation and creating impactful solutions in the financial crime space.What we offer: A unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transformation program with significant impact.Collaborative and inclusive work environment that values innovation and growth.Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.How to Apply: If you are excited about driving change and making a meaningful impact in the fight against financial crime, we want to hear from you
