About the role
Timberlink Australia is seeking a full-time Safety Manager, who will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and operational support to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of employees across a dual plant manufacturing site.
This role would be our Site Safety Leader at our 270+ people manufacturing site, located in Tarpeena, South Australia (15 minutes from Mount Gambier).
We are open to candidates who are either looking to relocate to the region, or who are based in Melbourne or Adelaide, that are comfortable working between our manufacturing site and head office/distribution centre (head office in Scoresby, Melbourne or distribution centre in Gillman, Adelaide), on a week on/week off basis. What you'll be doing Develop, implement and monitor effective health and safety management systems and processesProvide expert advice and support to business leaders and employees on all HSE mattersInvestigate, analyse and report on incidents, near misses and hazards to identify and implement corrective actionsLead and facilitate safety training programs to build a strong safety cultureCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in safety performanceEnsure the business maintains compliance with all relevant safety legislation and regulationsWhat we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related fieldExtensive experience in a similar safety leadership role, ideally within the manufacturing or similar industryDemonstrated ability to develop and implement effective safety management systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve safety issuesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPassionate about promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvementWhat we offer
