Job DescriptionOaks Sydney Trafalgar Apartments is seeking a dedicated Building Manager to lead our team with a strong focus on exceptional customer service.
This full-time position requires a passion for enhancing community living and ensuring the smooth operation of our property.
The Building Manager will be responsible for the daily management, presentation, and operational efficiency of Oaks Trafalgar, with a key emphasis on maximizing growth and profitability.
In addition, this role involves overseeing Body Corporate matters and fostering positive relationships with owners and residents, ensuring their needs are met and concerns addressed promptly.
Key Responsibilities Include: Act as the contact point for day-to-day enquiries from bodies corporateSupervision of (but not limited to) electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services and approved contractor worksSupervision of all common area cleaning, repairs and maintenance in accordance with the Caretaking agreementPreparation of (but not limited to) building reports, plant and services schedulesAllocate all owner and body corporate expenses to the appropriate area pursuant to Building Manager AgreementEnsure property is managed pursuant to Oaks Hotels & Resorts procedures and directivesPresent as a spokesperson and advocate of the Oaks Resort & Hotel Management Group at all times in all dealings with owners, tenants, staff and body corporateMaintain an extensive knowledge of the building by-laws, in addition to the duties and obligations contained in the Caretaking agreementReport all breaches of the building by-laws to Owners Corporation.QualificationsTo be successful will require the following skills and experience: Minimum 5 years' experience as a Building ManagerExtensive operational and financial management experience within a Hotel environmentStrata management experienceStrategic business acumen and commercial business knowledgeA proven track record of maintaining excellent product and service standards whilst maximising revenue and minimising expensesThe ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with guests, owners and staffEffective verbal, written and interpersonal communicationA strong commitment to continuous improvement and learningFlexibility to work weekends and public holidays if requiredAdditional InformationJoin our positive and vibrant team and be rewarded with these team benefits: 50% discounts on accommodation across all Minor Hotel brands in Australia and New ZealandAccess to Minor Hotels ANZ paid parental leave benefits20% team member's friend and family discount on accommodation across all Minor Hotel brands in Australia and New ZealandAdditional paid leave including Birthday and Study leave.Educational Financial support may be available to those who undertake development relevant to the company's business requirements.NIB Insurance discountsDiscount savings and cash back from over 400 popular retailers in Australia and New ZealandEntertainment and experience discounts (Opera Australia; Australia Zoo; BRG Brands- Experience oz, Adrenaline and RedBalloon)Discount on Furniture50% off The Coffee Club VIP membership and discount on Minor Hotels F&B outlets across the globeWellbeing programs with Uprise (EAP)Wellness Programs at Elysia Wellness retreat Accommodation, all F&B, all Wellness Activities, Spa Treatments (depends on length of program to how many) and Wellness one on one consultsOur people drive the success of our business, so we will invest in your skills to allow you to grow and progress through your career.
