Crew Leader – Carbon Maintenance

We are seeking a passionate Crew Leader for the Carbon Maintenance team based at our Bell Bay operations.

Working a weekday roster and reporting to the Metal Products & Carbon Maintenance Superintendent, you will be :
Supporting and leading a maintenance team across the Carbon departmentEnsuring site safety and operational standards are adhered to within your teamMaintaining a safe work environment for your teamReporting safety incidents, near misses and quality issuesConducting daily Shift Start MeetingMonitoring, understanding, reporting, and recording operational KPI's for your teamLiaising with Operations and Asset Management teams to work through operational issues in a timely manner and escalating when requiredEnsuring a high quality of maintenance work on assetsAbout you : A proven record of delivering outstanding safety performanceDemonstrate proactive and positive leadership skills that result in an effective, engaged teamStrong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence, and build credibility and trust across all levels of the organizationThe desire to work with the operations, technical and leadership teams to improve department and site performanceDemonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and perform under limited supervisionStrong resource planning and organization skillsSAP Knowledge is favorablePrevious maintenance experienceWhat we offer : A work environment where safety is always the number one priorityA permanent position working directly for Rio TintoA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with an annual incentive programComprehensive medical benefits including subsidized private health insurance for employees and immediate familyAttractive share ownership planCompany-provided insurance coverExtensive salary sacrifice & salary packaging optionsCareer development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership ambitionsOngoing access to family-friendly health and medical wellbeing supportLeave for all of life's reasons (vacation / annual, paid parental, sick leave)Exclusive employee discounts (banking, accommodation, cars, retail and more)Possible domestic relocation assistanceWhere you'll be working : Our Bell Bay Aluminium smelter began operating in 1955 and holds a unique place in Tasmanian and Australian history as the first aluminium smelter in the Southern Hemisphere.
Based approximately 50 kilometres from Launceston in Northern Tasmania, the smelter produces primary aluminium products.
