Reporting to the NSW Deputy State Director, in this key role, you will be responsible for managing the Party Affairs section of the Division, dealing with membership, candidate selection, disputes, and Party committees.
This is a critical role in the NSW Division and involves:Managing the process of membership applications, candidate selection, and nomination for federal, state, and local government elections.Managing internal party election processes for State Council, State Executive, Women's Council, and Young Liberal Council.Advising on the Party Constitution to branches, conferences, and the State Executive.Assisting in making rulings on internal disputes and complaints, challenges, and other constitutional matters.Assisting in the preparation and management of Party meetings.This important and challenging role offers you considerable autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to deal with a wide network of stakeholders including MPs and members of the legal and business community.
This is initially a 14-month contract appointment with the possibility of extension and permanency.About You:In this role, it is essential that you have strong attention to detail, well-developed organisational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
A legal background is ideal, and a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience is sought.
Knowledge of dispute resolution, administrative law, and constitutional interpretation would be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be decisive and calm with a measured and ethical approach, with the ability to maintain impartiality.
