Getting to know the Enforcement Technologies and Logistics (ET&L) Section:

The technologies and services ET&L support include X-Ray, trace and substance detection, and transport and logistic services.
These technologies are located at all airports and seaports across Australia.

Be motivated in managing a small agile teamInteract professionally with diverse stakeholdersWork with the other members of the Section and Branch in delivering the roleIdentify and initiate areas of improvement to deliver more effectively.Duties and responsibilities The Assistant Director Contract and Procurement Management position includes leadership and management responsibilities for decision-making and process improvement, scope of people and resource management responsibilities including:
Conduct and manage procurement activitiesConduct and manage complex contract management preparationConduct and manage ongoing contract management activitiesConduct and manage contract conclusion and transition out processesLead effective and influential communication with internal and external stakeholdersManage and conduct financial management activitiesManage and conduct contract risk managementProvide complex contract adviceLead a contract management teamAdditional information Strong written and verbal communication, team cohesion and strong stakeholder engagement skillsKnowledge and experience in government procurement and contract management activitiesKnowledge and experience managing high value complex contractsThe occupant of the role must hold a minimum, Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting (or equivalent) or be willing to attain as a matter of priorityHow to apply Submit your application and CV through the Home Affairs' recruitment system (ourPeople) before the closing date on 23/01/2025 at 11:59pm (midnight) AEDT – Late applications will not be accepted.
