Location: Gold Coast
Unique opportunity for motivated individuals to join our Asphalt business as Laboratory Technicians based in West Burleigh or North Brisbane.
The main focus of this position will be undertaking tasks in relation to sampling, mechanical testing, physical analysis, maintenance of records, and reporting of results for our aggregate and asphalt related products. This is a permanent role with occasional overtime.
Your day will involve: Conducting physical testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions, and manualsField sampling and testing on project sitesCalibration of laboratory equipmentMaintaining, observing, and participating in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operationAssisting in the maintenance of the Laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirementsWhat we are looking for: Flexibility to work shift work when requiredStrong analytical skills and a commitment to safety and qualitySelf-motivated and able to work unsupervised in the laboratoryPrevious construction materials laboratory experience is a plusRelevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline e.g., Civil, Materials (desirable)Understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of dataKnowledge of Australian and Industry standardsGood communication and organisational skillsWhat's On Offer?
