Administrative Assistants (Administration & Office Support)
Hope Earle Lawyers, a dynamic law firm with offices in Melbourne and the Gold Coast, is seeking a Senior Operating Officer (SOO) to join our team.
We are open to this job commencing on a 3-day-a-week basis.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled operations leader with a strategic mindset to drive growth, optimize our operational efficiency, and support our mission of delivering exceptional client service and profitability.

The Role
As SOO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing firm-wide strategies to enhance our performance and client experience.
This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for a leader who excels at both strategic and operational levels.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership : Under the direction of the Board, develop and drive firm-wide strategies that support our growth, operational excellence, and commitment to client success.
Operations Management : Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and client service standards.
Financial Oversight : Work with our accountants to manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow, optimizing resources and maximizing profitability.
Process Optimization : Streamline workflows to boost productivity, improve file management, and drive operational efficiencies.
Human Resources Development : In accordance with the Board's strategic decisions, lead talent management, including hiring, onboarding, and professional development of all staff, including support staff, to foster a high-performance culture.
Technology Integration : Drive the adoption of modern technology and an updated practice management system to ensure efficient, secure, and seamless operations.
Risk Management & Compliance : Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards, mitigating risk firm-wide.
Business Development Support : Collaborate with our business development partner to expand our client base and market presence.
Performance Metrics & Reporting : Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and provide insights to the executive team and Principals.
Culture & Change Management : Under the direction of the Board, play an integral role in leading cultural initiatives and manage change effectively as we continue to grow.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in a senior operational or similar role, ideally within a law firm or professional services firm.
Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and operational expertise.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development.
Technology-driven with a passion for process improvement.
A proper understanding of risk management and compliance within a legal setting.
