Reporting to the Manager of Core Product Innovation, your primary responsibility will be to utilize technology platforms to optimize existing or develop new products and systems that satisfy our customers' unmet needs.What you'll doWork with our team of scientists and engineers to develop innovative concepts into practical solutionsConduct research to identify technology and industry trends that could be utilized to accelerate the delivery of unique solutions to the marketRapidly develop prototypes of product solutions for customer assessmentDevelop and execute testing plans to ensure products are fit for purpose including install-ability, durability and compliance to relevant building codes and regulationsConduct data analysis of test results leading to the presentation of sound technical recommendations to the R&D senior leadership teamLead production trials and implementation of solutions in our world-class manufacturing facilitiesManagement of multiple concurrent projects through our technical stage gate processWhat you'll bringA bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Civil Engineering or Chemical Process engineering (or similar qualification)5+ years' experience in a similar industryExperience in successfully delivering projects from concept to commercializationPlanning/organization skills – the ability to understand priorities, determine the critical path, and develop contingency plansStrong interpersonal and oral/written communication skillsAbility to motivate and influence others to drive deliverablesAn inquisitive mindsetWorking @ James HardieAt James Hardie, our people are at the center of everything we do.
