About the opportunity
The Production Estimating Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Wilson Homes Estimating team.
In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to oversee the Production Estimating team ensuring the team complete quality assurance checks of all files, complete accurate take offs and distribute orders to relevant trades and suppliers in preparation of construction commencing.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
Managing the Production Estimating workflow including variations, timeframes, and cost control in line with business objectives and agreed time frames Executing continuous improvement of the estimating process and structure to suit the needs of the business Developing good relationships and working collaboratively with procurement, operations, construction, trades and suppliers Conduct thorough quality assurance check of purchase orders Identify issues proactively, ensuring any issues or roadblocks raised are escalated and/or resolved quickly along with responding to any process or construction queries Review and analyse ETS to ensure solutions are in place to prevent recurrence along with identifying any commercial opportunities Prepare and deliver pricing analysis reports and data as required by management Complete and maintain Bill of Quantities library for all designs including new product ensuring anticipated projected margins are achieved About you
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of Wilson Homes and NEX Building Group along with:
Previous experience in Production Estimation Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach individuals and improve performance A sound knowledge and working history within the Residential Housing Industry including knowledge of Australian Standards in Building/Construction and Building Code Australia Education qualifications of a Diploma or Degree in relative field Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high standard of service The ability to provide creative solutions to problems, and drive outcomes Ability to develop relationships and work cohesively with key stakeholders Advanced knowledge of Excel, and experience in BusinessCraft and Databuild Interested?
