About The Role
UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Werrington, a YOI (young offenders institution) located in the village of Werrington.
HoursThe site currently offers bank shifts.
How will we support you? Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Support from the wider team Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK due to the nature of the role.
Offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks. What you'll be doing As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary.
You will:
Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care. Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery. If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
You'll receive a bank rate of £13.76.

Qualifications required NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care. A non-judgmental and compassionate approach. Excellent communication skills. Good IT skills and IT literacy. Ability to work within a busy environment. Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures. Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
