We are working with a top tier main contractor who are seeking a Head of HSEQ to work in the Civil Engineering sector on a full time basis. As the Head of HSEQ you will manage and support a team of HSEQ Managers & HSEQ Advisors in the Yorkshire region, whilst assisting the HSEQ Director to further develop and embed HSEQ Management Systems.Benefits:Generous holiday entitlementCompany car/car allowanceCompetitive company pension schemeCompany profit share schemeAnd moreResponsibilities:Support the provision of Occupational Health within the regions of control, under the direction of the HSEQ DirectorProvide consistent and accurate HSEQ Leadership, support and advice to HSEQ Team membersProvide HSEQ Leadership support to regions on HSEQ initiatives.Provide HSEQ Leadership to issues/problemsBe the Lead HSEQ representative for Client support for the regions under your controlForm collaborative relationships with Client senior HSEQ representativesLead HSEQ Team investigation reviews for HSE investigations to ensure root causes are properly defined and appropriate as well as ensuring actions support future preventionConduct regular leadership visits to support and lead by example within the areas of your controlCheck HSEQ Team monitoring of HSE standards at company premises and ensure legal obligations are being upheldWhat do we need from you?NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum but ideally IOSHCEnv or equivalent as a minimum but ideally associate IEMAExtensive HSEQ experience within a civil engineering environment and experience in the rail sector would be beneficial but not essential Client-facingCSCS CardExcellent use of MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPointAble to provide strong leadership skills for the HSEQ Team and capable of encouraging team members to work alone to tight deadlines as appropriateUK Driving LicenseCandidates must be eligible to live and work in the UKThe salary is indicative and based on experience.
