Project Engineer – Civil Infrastructure Projects
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join a highly regarded civil infrastructure contractor. This company has built a strong reputation for delivering large-scale and complex projects across the transport, utilities, and civil engineering sectors. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the construction of various infrastructure projects, including bridges, roads, retaining walls, and underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and implementation of construction methods, material selections, and quality standards for civil engineering projects.
Manage procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment, and coordinate labour resources to ensure smooth project execution.
Address project-related issues, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
Prepare and manage documents related to contracts, tenders, project programs, and progress reports, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
Work closely with designers, engineers, suppliers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Review design and engineering drawings, assist with cost planning, and manage budget control measures to keep projects within financial scope.
Develop safe work method statements and ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Oversee the progress of subcontractors' work, ensuring compliance with specifications and timelines, and provide regular project updates.
Skills and Experience:
A relevant third-level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Solid experience in the transport and utilities infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, with a good understanding of AutoCAD design software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to delegate tasks and manage resources effectively, ensuring high standards of performance across the team.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
