The Living Room (Drop-In & Primary Health Services)Substance MisuseAfter Hours Outreach ServiceCollocated allied health services.Based in the heart of Melbourne's CBD tourist precinct, this is a unique opportunity to lead a team in delivering high-quality, integrated healthcare and support services to some of Melbourne's most vulnerable adults.
You will be responsible for overseeing a multidisciplinary team that provides primary health services to individuals aged 18+ and links them with vital services such as housing, AOD, mental health, and therapeutic support.
As a Community Health Manager, you will lead evidence-based, operational responses and ensure that services are delivered effectively and efficiently, making a meaningful impact on individuals who are seeking pathways out of homelessness.
This is an exciting opportunity for an operational leader with a strong commitment to service excellence and a passion for making a difference in the community. Key requirements: Demonstrated experience (3+ years) leading a team with diverse experience.Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in delivering clinical supervision to clinical and non-clinical teams.Recognised Diploma in AOD, Community Services, Social Work or a tertiary qualification in relevant health-related disciplines.Current First Aid level 2 certificate.Now ... let's talk about youYou have experience in community health, Emergency health, or allied health, with leadership experience.You're process-driven and excel at planning, problem-solving, and team building.You are confident and resilient; you thrive on challenges and bring a pragmatic approach to everything you do.Your communication skills—both written and verbal—are top-notch, and you have a proven ability to manage budgets and build external relationships.But most importantly, you're passionate about achieving success and driving outcomes; you know how to inspire others while keeping your focus on results.A bit about usThe Living Room is a unique primary health service dedicated to improving the physical, mental, and social well-being of individuals aged 18+ who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
As the only service of its kind in Melbourne, we focus on the social determinants of health, going beyond treating illness to consider the full context of a person's life.
Our multidisciplinary team works with individuals to set goals that prioritise harm minimisation, self-determination, and empowerment.
As part of Youth Projects, an independent charity, we provide tailored support to people facing multiple challenges such as homelessness, unemployment, and substance misuse.
We are committed to creating pathways out of poverty, operating 365 days a year to meet the complex needs of our clients.
