We are seeking a suitably experienced individual to join our Financial Services team as Finance Support Officer in a Permanent Full-Time capacity.
Located within two hours south-west of Melbourne, Colac Otway is renowned for its magnificent southern coastline, the Otway rainforests and the northern lakes and offers an attractive lifestyle with diverse employment opportunities.

As the Finance Support Officer you will ensure that Council:
Has efficient administration to ensure Council can timely process the required financial tasks and functions in accordance with regulations, policy and procedures applicable at the time.Provides a range of finance activities relating to Council operations, ensuring all financial records are accurately entered and maintained.Provides overall general operational support to the operation of the Financial Services Unit, particularly in providing back up support to the Accounts Receivable and Payroll Officer positions.Key responsibilities include: Accounts PayableFinance SupportTaxationAccounts ReceivableAbout You: To support your success in this role you will have: Demonstrated experience and/or general understanding of accounting and finance concepts.Demonstrated experience in the use of finance system software.Proven ability to apply standard procedures, practices, Acts and Regulations.Well-developed skills in using the Microsoft Office suite of products.Well-developed oral and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.Highly developed customer service skills.For further information regarding the duties and requirements of the role, please refer to the position description. Salary information: $67,226.64 to $70,836.48 per annum plus superannuation.
