Here at our Support Office in Eagle Farm, we serve two customers - those loyal guests and customers, and our thousand plus staff who serve them.

About the roleThe IT Support Manager is a critical new hire within our new look Technology department, as we build up our internal capability and capacity to support our business now, and in the future.
Reporting to the CTO, you will take the lead on the technology infrastructure and day to day support and maintenance across our portfolio of sites.
It is critical you have prior experience in leading within a service desk environment, with a strong focus on support and proactive engagement with a large and geographically dispersed workforce.
But this role isn't for someone who wants to stay in the office.
We need you to lead your team of IT Support staff by example, being visible and helpful on site and willing to get hands on with network and hardware projects or issues as well as stepping back and working on the bigger picture and strategy.
Experience in the retail or hospitality sector would be advantageous, but mindset and cultural fit is infinitely more important than that.
If you are keen to grow, a great communicator and can combine the necessary core skills with a problem solving and customer support mindset then you will have success with Star.
We are embarking on a digital transformation and upgrade programme where many of our technologies and processes will change.
Our job is to ensure we deliver on that roadmap without distracting our front-line teams or diminishing their ability to delight our loyal customers.

ResponsibilitiesManagement of a team of three IT Support StaffOwnership of the IT Service Desk, ensuring all matters are ticketed and resolved efficiently and effectivelyTechnology infrastructure support and maintenance across the portfolio of sitesSignificant involvement in projects with a technology focus or impact, such as new site launches, new system roll outs, network, telephony, POS/peripherals or ATM changesDay to day engagement and collaboration with our managed service provider and other key partners/vendorsProactively identify and propose technology solutions to business issues or opportunitiesContributing to our strategy and knowledge pool on business continuity, cyber and disaster recoveryEnsure a strong culture of documentation is developed and maintained for the IT function #J-18808-Ljbffr
