1. Senior Communications Advisor (VPS5)This role is focused on managing high-level communications for emergency management.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Communications: Significant experience in the development and delivery of a wide range of communication activities and functions within a complex, diverse and sensitive environment
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including ministers and departmental leaders, to deliver effective communication initiatives.
Content Creation: Provide high-quality written materials tailored to various audiences, including media releases and briefings.

Ideal CandidateProven public sector experience.
Strong background in journalism or media relations.
Experience working with senior stakeholders and ministers.
Prior experience in emergency management communications is highly desirable.
Authoritative knowledge of State Government and department communication policies and processes.

2. Media & Events Advisor (VPS4/5)This role focuses on media management and event coordination in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesMedia Coordination: Liaise with media outlets and government stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information.
Event Management: Support the planning and delivery of events, media briefings, and public announcements.
Government Relations: Work closely with ministerial offices to align messaging and strategies.

Ideal CandidateExperience in journalism or media relations within a government setting.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Role DetailsStart Date: ASAP, ideally by 13th January at the latest.
Initial Commitment:
On-Site: 5 days per week for the first 6 weeks.
Potential for flexibility or remote work arrangements for senior-level roles post the initial phase.

Hours: Standard business hours, with weekend work available (optional).
