We are an Australian based leading supplier of business VoIP products including SIP Termination, Hosted PBX, Wholesale Termination, White Label reselling and VoIP hardware.We are looking for a work-from-home (WFH) PHP developer from anywhere in Australia to join our team, working on new and existing web applications and APIs in the VoIP/Telco industry as well as a partner company in the Food & Hospitality industry.We are looking for a full stack developer with strong PHP/MySQL knowledge.
You will be working alongside other like-minded developers.The role includesAs this is a full-stack position, you must be able to create front-end HTML, CSS, and jQuery as well as high quality back-end PHP codeOur code-base is written in vanilla PHP so you must be comfortable not using frameworksWe are slowly migrating our code-base from PHP 5.4 to PHP 8 however you must be comfortable writing and maintaining PHP 5.4 code.Developing with PHP on a day-to-day basisApproximately a 50/50 split of back-end and front-end developmentJavaScript development (primarily with jQuery or vanilla JavaScript)Writing efficient MySQL queries working with large datasetsSupporting and developing existing and new PHP APIs for customers and resellersWorking on PHP integrations with external APIsContributing to customer facing website and account portalUpdating and improving an administration portal to assist staff in managing clients and ticketsDeveloping new features in administration, reseller, and customer portals (customer facing and back-end)Developing and maintaining brand new point of sale software in PHP for partner companyPayment integration for partner companyLiaising with team members and customersFixing bugs when they ariseOther duties as requiredRequired SkillsStrong English language (speaking and written)Strong PHP 5 and 7/8 knowledgeStrong MySQL knowledge and writing efficient queries for large datasetsStrong HTML, CSS & JavaScript knowledgeStrong jQuery knowledgeExperience with Git or similar version control systemsExperience using putty and linux for managing files and gitThe ability to communicate, think for yourself, and solve problems.Continuous Integration (CI) experience5+ years professional experience
