Our curriculum is designed to inspire academic achievement, personal growth, and lifelong learning.Job Description:The college is currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated Head School Librarian to join our team. The successful candidate will commence in 2025 and will be expected to participate in the life of the school through its extensive co-curricular programs and demonstrate a commitment to the service of others.Your working hours will be 8:20am to 5:00pm - Monday to Friday.Key Responsibilities:The role involves assisting students and staff in the coordination and organisation of the College library. You will lead the library team, including implementing College-wide goals and working alongside the Directors of Teaching & Learning.Ability to manage the daily work in an intelligent manner, allowing for unscheduled interruptionsManagement of our Library Information SystemCoordinating class set texts collectionsResource management & promotionGeneral library maintenanceExperience in the:delivery of information and circulation servicesProcessing of library materialsHandling student and staff accounts and library inquiriesPromoting library programs, events and activitiesExperience in the delivery of quality customer serviceA passion for student learningExcellent organisational and behavioural management skillsExcellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with difficult situationsHave the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all studentsDemonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with childrenRequirements:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Library & Information SystemsDetailed knowledge of copyright legislation and its application in schoolsExperience in an educational environment1 to 2 years experience in a similar roleExperience with Windows software, especially Outlook, Word and ExcelVIT registration is desirable, but not necessaryHow to Apply:Interested applicants should submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their qualifications and relevant experience to the Principal at (email protected).
