Murrumba State Secondary College is located in a beautiful part of Brisbane's northern suburbs, with easy access to the thriving Brisbane City, the relaxing foreshores of Moreton Bay, or the endless beaches of the Sunshine Coast. The College opened in 2012 and has rapidly become the school of first choice in the Murrumba area. Our College features world-class learning programs, delivered in impressive and expansive new facilities, and a wide range of innovative learning technologies.
In 2025, the College enrolment population is expected to remain over 1700 students.
The successful candidate will be tasked with the challenge of leading and coordinating the coaching and mentoring of staff through the Whole of College Approach to Pedagogy. They will also facilitate Collaborative Capability Development across the College, developing collegiality and promoting a learning and development culture. Mentoring beginning and early career teachers will also be a key component of this role. The successful candidate will have the drive, passion, and commitment necessary to continue to play a key role in Murrumba's journey from good to great.
Minimum Requirements:Applicants for these positions must possess: A relevant teaching qualification.Current full registration or provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher.In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.How to apply:Please note: If you are a Permanent Teacher with the Department of Education, you must have your current Principal's endorsement to apply for this position.
