Permanent full-time position with immediate start availableJoin a highly regarded organisation & thrive in a fantastic company culture$100k - $120k base salary + superLark Business Advisory have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their supportive team About the Opportunity Reporting to the Taxation & Self-managed Super Fund Manager & CEO/Director, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS for a variety of industries.
Working in the Melbourne office, you will contribute daily with team members and offshore accountants to maintain seamless operation. As Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Embrace and embody Lark Business Advisory's core values in all interactionsAchieve a productivity target of 80% average over the financial yearPrepare financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS for various industries from start to finishReview BAS, financial statements, and income returns prepared by offshore accountants, addressing any queriesCommunicate with clients regarding annual and ongoing work, resolving any issues that ariseManage a portfolio of clients, including invoicing and maintaining relationshipsCollaborate with the Taxation & SMSF Manager to ensure accuracy in your work and respond to review pointsLiaise with team members and offshore accountants daily to ensure seamless operationsHandle matters with the ATO and other statutory authorities as neededMaintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of client trustDocument manage client files electronically into SuitefilesFamiliarise yourself with and adhere to company policy directivesUndertake additional duties as required.About You You will enjoy client interaction and be skilled in developing strong working & collaborative relationships with others at all levels of the organisation. To be successful in the role, you will need to: Public Practice Experience is essentialProficient in the preparation of Financial Statements & Income Tax Returns for Companies, Unit Trusts, Family Trusts, Partnerships & IndividualsA minimum of 5-years' experience in Public PracticeExcellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomouslyStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh levels of attention to detailEffective time management and the ability to prioritise tasksProficient in Microsoft Office, Xero, Suitefiles, Practice Ignition, and KarbonStrong judgement, decision-making capabilities, and initiativeCalm and approachable demeanour, with reliability and honestyActive listening skills to effectively understand client needsHigh standard of personal presentationCommitment to client and company confidentialityAbout Our Client Lark Business Advisory is committed to empowering businesses and individuals with expert financial guidance grounded in their core values: Passion, Integrity, Courage, Gratitude, Fun and Care.
