Nurse Manager Community Alcohol and Other Drugs The Nurse Manager Community Alcohol and Other Drugs provides clinical expertise and leadership for ensuring the highest quality of integrated care is available for people experiencing problematic alcohol and substance use in South West Queensland.
Your advanced knowledge of evidence-based models of care will extend to the coordination and delivery of opiate substitute treatment programs in low resource environments.
Closing the Gap in health outcomes for First Nations peoples is a strategic priority in South West Hospital and Health Service (SWHHS) and the role will provide an opportunity to work across South West Queensland and engage with leaders in indigenous communities in more remote areas.
It is critical that you are knowledgeable and committed to Closing the Gap as a strategy and able to use co-design to translate evidence into culturally safe models of care.

All facilities within the SWHHS (except for Roma) are designated Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package (RANIP) sites in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015.
