Sonic HealthPlus is currently recruiting for a Nurse Officer to play a vital role in shaping the future of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).As a Nurse Officer you will be based in our Darwin Clinic, working Monday to Friday 38hrs per week.
You will get to enjoy your weekends off.DUTIESYou will be a cornerstone of our team, responsible for conducting preliminary assessments and providing guidance to Medical Screeners.
Your role will encompass:Conduct telephone vetting: Review online medical history questionnaire and extract additional information while taking notes in the online medical records system.Medical file reviewsArchive record identification and requestsExtant reports requests as neededEnsuring all preliminary assessment information is entered accurately into the electronic health recordMonitoring & maintaining equipment used during preliminary assessmentsFollow established policy and procedures within a well-defined Defence frameworkCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSAs the successful candidate, you will be a Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) together with the following:Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsSharp eye for detailAbility to navigate electronic health records/systems and other relevant ICT systemsMinimum 3 years' broad medical experience in a health system comparable to AustraliaExperience within a Defence or on-base setting or in the delivery of pre-employment medicals would be highly desirable.Current Working With Children CheckCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAD009) certification.To apply for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and hold or have the ability to maintain an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.Veterans and those with Defence Force experience, we encourage you to apply.WHY JOIN US?Rewarding opportunity in being part of shaping Australia's future of defenceAPNA Corporate Membership for permanent nursesOngoing training and developmentStable, reputable national healthcare provider (part of the global Sonic Healthcare)Paid parental leaveNumerous discounts including travel, gym membership and health insurance optionsNovated LeasingDiscounted fees for various medical services e.g.
