Senior Manager, Transformation Risk

Permanent Sydney How You Will Help As the Senior Manager, Transformation Risk, you will play a crucial role in driving risk outcomes for the Divisional Transformation program, particularly the UNITE initiative.
Your responsibilities will include.
Ensuring that both delivery and delivered risks are managed within appropriate controls and the risk appetite of the Division and Group.
You will provide first line of defense (1LOD) review and support on project documents, adhering to the Transformation Delivery Standard and the Delivery Excellence Framework.
You will contribute to the simplification of the risk and control matrix process, optimising project resources and capacity.
Ensuring critical decision and sign-off points, such as Risk and Control Matrices (RCM), overall project go-live, and post-implementation reviews, will be part of your role.
Your work will ensure that transformation program risk management practices align with the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, and regulatory obligations of the Group and Division.
Design and optimse controls to mitigate delivery and delivered risks, ensuring these controls are appropriately tested for design effectiveness.
You will also contribute to Risk In Change Governance and Reporting to Group and Divisional Governance Forums, ensuring that delivery and delivered risks are considered in the risk profiles for the division or lines of business (LOBs).
Supporting the transition from project to business-as-usual (BAU) is another key aspect of your role, ensuring that risks and controls are embedded and handed over to LOBs or business units as appropriate.
You will also focus on uplifting risk in change capability and risk practices within project teams, with a particular emphasis on the business analysis (BA) community.
Your primary focus areas will include achieving strong risk outcomes, managing project 'risk in change', and optimizing controls.
You will be responsible for compiling, reviewing, and endorsing key risk artefacts such as the Risk & Control Matrix.
Additionally, you will manage risk and control program reporting and provide advisory support on project and transformation risks.
Effective stakeholder management across lines of business, second line of defense (2LOD), audit, and other project teams will be essential.
Promoting a strong culture of control awareness and risk mitigation in all dealings with key subject matter experts (SMEs) will also be a critical part of your day-to-day role.

What do I need?
To be successful in this position you will need solid Risk Management Experience and should have a background in effective project management, risk and controls.
You will have demonstrated knowledge in completing, reviewing and challenging Risk & Control Matrices and working with end-to-end Value Chains.
Experience with stakeholder engagement is necessary for this role on a day-to-day basis and you will need great influencing skills to drive risk outcomes.
