The Shift Manager will lead and support the afternoon warehouse team to ensure smooth operations, timely dispatch, and high productivity.
This role requires a hands-on leader focused on driving efficiency and team excellence.
The PM shift hours are 2:30pm - 10:30pm. Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, this role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Strong and effective management of all relevant shift staff, including necessary training where requiredLead from the front and build strong relationships with your teamAbility to plan and forecast each shift's key areas of production and communicate this effectively to the team, whilst remaining vigilant to prioritisation adjustmentsMotivate and drive your team to excellence through effective training, support, and by leading from the forefrontEnsuring prompt receipt and dispatch of orders across the entire teamManaging inventory and communicating results or findings to the DC leadership teamEffectively find ways to improve the overall speed, output, and productivity of your teamHandle customer or supplier delivery issues and resolving stock discrepanciesManage Warehouse suppliesReport on maintenance issuesRoster managementGeneral ad-hoc where requiredRecruitment for the afternoon shift teamWHO YOU ARE Proven track record of operational success in managing automated warehouse systems3-5 years' experience in a similar roleUnderstanding of various WMS and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookPrior experience managing staff, customers, and suppliersExceptional verbal and written communication skillsPrevious experience implementing new processesStrong WHS understanding in a Warehouse environmentProblem solving outlook and ability to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environmentWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
