Do you want to learn more about equity capital markets (ECM) and investment banking?
You'll:
work in Australia's leading ECM team, learning from experienced capital markets and coverage bankersassist with the origination and execution of equity raisings, including initial public offerings, entitlement offers, placements and block trade selldownsprepare analysis and presentation materials to support client coverage and transaction execution, including acquisitions, growth, funding strategy and other situationsalso have exposure to capital management and structured equity solutions productsinteract closely with our M&A, sector specialist and equity sales colleaguesbe based in Melbourne but also work with Sydney based colleaguesYour team You will be a valuable team member in our Investment Bank's Advisory and Capital Markets business based in Melbourne, working closely with, and learning from, the sector coverage teams, as well as our product teams, providing coverage, advisory, capital markets and financing solutions for corporate, financial institutions and sponsor clients.
Your expertise good understanding and hands-on exposure to corporate finance, capital markets or M&A advisoryideally you have 1-3 years of work experience at any of the following:Investment banks - bulge bracket or boutiqueBig four accounting firms - M&A, Transaction Services, ValuationsTop-tier law firms - M&A, capital markets, banking & financebachelor's degree or equivalent in commerce (economics / finance / accounting / actuarial), engineering and / or law with a D / HD average grade, but motivated individuals from other academic backgrounds are still encouraged to applystrong commercial acumen and work ethic, with an interest in building a career in advisory and capital marketsexcellent communication skills – written and verbalsolid financial analysis skills, with the ability to produce accurate presentation material quicklyWe can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and teamwork and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.
